Tour Questions and Information

Yes, you can cancel a tour up to 24 hours before it starts and receive a full refund.

All tours are rain or shine, except in the case of inclement weather. This would be more than half an inch of precipitation predicted by Accuweather for the daytime or a warning by the National Weather Service. You will be notified the day before if a tour is cancelled due to weather and receive a full refund as well as a discount for a future booking.

Children are welcome, however the tours are designed for adults and there is nothing in them designed to be especially entertaining to children. Tours may contain content that may not be appropriate for younger children such as crime, murder, executions, death, cemeteries, alcohol, drugs, LGBTQ history, and sexual affairs. Nothing is too graphic, about what would be in a PG-13 movie, so parents can decide if it is appropriate for their children. Contact us with any questions or if you would like a custom tour made more child appropriate.

These are walking tours, so you will have to walk the whole distance. While there may be occasional public benches or other places to take a rest, we will generally be standing the whole time.

Unfortunately, New York City has a lack of public restrooms. Where a tour conveniently passes one, we try our best to allow guests to take a break. This is not always possible though. For your comfort, it would be best to “go” before a tour.

Most tours are on sidewalks with ramps, but there could be unexpected construction or other obstacles, so we cannot guarantee it would be accessible. The Instagrammable tour is the only one that includes stairs. Tours could be up to 3 miles or 5.5 kilometers, so everyone should be able to travel this distance in the time allotted for the tour. Please contact us for a shorter private tour tailored to your needs.

Tripods are not allowed on tours to ensure we comply with relevant laws and in order to stay on time.

In order to provide the best experience for all people on a tour, pets are not allowed except for trained service animals under the Americans with Disability Act. Note that emotional support animals are not service animals under the ADA.
